Marshall Jensen's story - The short version
Marshall Jensen, a father to a young son Kezman and Husband to his beautiful wife AJ, was diagnosed with A.L.L. (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia) in January 2012. The road was rough and the fight hard but fight he did and after 6 months of chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant Marshall was able to achieve remission for a few months. Being who Marshall is, he immediately returned to work and school, both full time. The fight then changed from a fight to live to a fight to pay for all the life saving treatments he had received.
On February 26th 2013,
Marshall, AJ and their 18 month old son got the call... "I'm sorry
to have to tell you this.. But you're cancer is back." With that never
ceasing optimism and fighting spirit Marshall returned to the battle.. After a month of chemotherapy the doctors at LDS hospital, though amazing, were unable to return Marshall to remission. The best option they had at that point was to leave their son... their home.. their family... and friends.. and leave to MD Anderson in Houston TX to participate in a new Leukemia Treatment trial. With all the courage I know to be in Marshall he pushed forward, always with a song on his lips, down to Texas.
This battle is not over and war has just begun and Marshall and his family need our help.
We can't physically fight the cancer for Marshall.. But we can now reach out and help him and his
family when they need it most.
